By Jeana Lee Tahnk
Hello, fellow Huggies fans! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jeana Tahnk and I'm thrilled to be writing for Huggies. Welcome to the wonderful world of babies! I have three of my own. Well, only one actual baby,
who is 6 months old, and two older "babies," a 9-year-old and a
6-year-old. Yes, my oldest comes up to my chin and weighs 90 pounds, but
in my eyes, he'll always be that little newborn with huge cheeks and
massive amounts of hair. I think all parents can relate to how hard it
is to see their kids growing up so fast.
I'm excited to share my experiences as a parent with you, offer
tips, commiserate about sleep deprivation and revel in the joys of
parenting together. Like you, I am constantly balancing kids, work and
home while trying to be the best mom, wife, daughter, friend and
employee I can be. I remember when I was growing up my mom told me over
and over again that being a parent is the hardest job in the world, and
she wasn't kidding. It wasn't until I had kids of my own that I could
really appreciate the wisdom behind her words.
I strive to live a simple life, as much as that's possible with
three kids(!), and look forward to the nights when family dinners and
movie nights dictate the calendar rather than sports and activities. I
love being active with my kids, and now that it's spring, we'll enjoy
brighter days with after dinner walks and bike rides.
I don't have all the answers, and some days it seems as though I don't have any.
After all these years, three kids in, I still question my parenting
decisions on a daily basis. What I do know is that Huggie's Tips & Advice is a place to share experiences and offer anything helpful that I have learned during my tenure as "mom" for the past nine years.
And this thing called parenthood? It is the hardest job in the world, but it's the very best job, too.
